Rx-360 Open Meeting

The board of directors for Rx-360 issued an invitation to attend the first Rx-360 Open Meeting to all individuals interested in becoming members of the organization.

The day-long event, hosted by Merck KGaA, will take place on Sept. 16 in Darmstadt, Germany and will feature presentations by Rx-360 leaders, guest speakers and regulators. The meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals to learn more about Rx-360's strategic goals and objectives, progress to date, and plans. Topics will include:

• Rx-360 Year in Review - Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Rx-360's activities and accomplishments in 2010 and near-term plans.
• Legal Considerations - Governance, membership, antitrust, and compliance topics will be discussed.
• Informational Sessions - Session will cover: shared audits, third party (joint) audits, and audit standards, among other Rx-360 activities.

"In its first year of operation, Rx-360 has made great progress on sharing information, developing technology, setting standards and developing a shared audit model," Martin VanTrieste, chairman of the Board of Directors, said. "We are looking forward to discussing these, as well as the other Rx-360 activities currently underway and being developed in our pursuit to ensure the quality and authenticity of the pharmaceutical supply chain."
