BASF and Sibur Extend Additives Supply Pact

Russian gas processing and petrochemical company Sibur has extended its long-term agreement with German chemical giant BASF covering the supply of polymer additives used at its production facilities.

The supply pact includes additives improving the quality of finished produchttp://www.chemanager-online.com/en/tags/BASFts for production of polypropylene, polyethylene, synthetic rubber, and thermoplastic elastomers. Additionally, the two companies will continue to implement their joint projects to develop new grades of polypropylene, polymer stabilization optimization, and the introduction of customer-specific blends (CSB).

The Russian and German companies signed the long-term cooperation memorandum on supply of the polymer additives used for polymer additives facilities in 2013.

Sibur owns and operates one of Russia’s largest gas-to-petrochemicals businesses.
