New Raychem XPI-F Heating Cable and TraceCalc Pro Software from Pentair

Pentair Thermal Management introduced Raychem XPI-F, a new addition to its XPI polymer insulated series resistance heat-tracing cables. Raychem XPI heat-tracing cables have been specifically developed to handle freeze protection and temperature maintenance in hazardous environments on long line applications. Like the other XPI heating cables, the XPI-F has a unique sandwich structure inner jacket combining a seamless PTFE and extruded polymer layer, for electrical insulation, safety and longevity.

Raychem XPI-F provides a cost efficient option for frost protection and moderate temperature maintenance. Designed for applications with less demanding temperature maintenance requirements the new heating cable features a complete system with easy installation, superior performance, reliability and safety.

Able to handle temperatures from -60°C to 90°C under continuous exposure and up 100°C intermittently, this fit for purpose cable can be used both in safe and hazardous areas in European and Asian (IEC) markets and is fully compatible with all existing XPI components.

Pentair also presented an updated version of its heat-tracing system design software, Raychem TraceCalc Pro, a step-by-step guide to choosing the best heat-tracing solution to meet customer needs. It also provides important heat-tracing system design data such as: pipe heat loss, number of circuits, electrical loads, maximum sheath temperatures, etc., while providing automated heating cable and component selection solutions.

Advanced features include multi-segment circuit designs, customized valve and insulation types, and sophisticated editing functions that can be tailored for specific requirements. Raychem TraceCalc Pro offers easy-to-use standard reports to summarize heat-tracing system design results and that make product ordering and procurement simple and straightforward.
