German chemicals distributor Gustav Grolman has expanded its distribution pact for BASF’s Baxxoduramine-based curing agents used in processing epoxy resin to markets in Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Since 2015, the two companies have cooperated exclusively in the marketing of Baxxodur in Europe, with the initial agreement covering France, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

Privately owned Grolman regards itself as one of Europe's largest distributors of specialty chemicals with diversified knowhow in application technology, and the company said the extended partnership with BASF will further strengthen its position.

Grolman said the curing agent components used in epoxy resin-based applications such as thermosetting laminates, highly resistant floor coatings, corrosion protection varnish and composite materials supplement its own portfolio of resins, accelerators, additives, flame retardants, pigments and special fillers for the thermosetting industry.
