Trinseo Restructures Leadership

28.04.2020 - US-based plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber producer Trinseo is once again changing its leadership team as it implements a flatter organization to streamline decision making.

The move, which will see three executives leave the firm, follows a previous restructure announced on Oct. 3, 2019. At that time, Trinseo said it was eliminating two divisional president roles and had also started a search for the role of senior vice president, commercial. That search has now been suspended.

“In a difficult economic environment, we continue to look for opportunities to drive greater focus on business process optimization and efficiency,” said president and CEO Frank Bozich.

Under this latest realignment, Francesca Reverberi will be vice president, engineered materials and synthetic rubber; Nicolas Joly will be vice president, plastics and feedstocks; and Rüdiger Schmitz will be vice president, latex binders – all effective from May 1, 2020.

Tim Stedman, appointed senior vice president, strategy and corporate development from Oct. 7, 2019, will become special advisor as of May 1, prior to leaving Trinseo on Oct. 31. He will be succeeded by Andre Lanning, who has been named vice president, strategy, corporate development and marketing communications.

Rainer Schewe has taken up the position of vice president, supply chain services with effect from Apr. 1, replacing Jeff Denton who will be a special advisor until he leaves the company on Aug. 1.

In addition, Catherine Keenan, vice president, public affairs, sustainability, and environment, health, and safety is resigning as of May 1 with her responsibilities being redistributed among the executive leadership team.

The leaders of the global business units will report directly to Bozich.
