LyondellBasell Upgrades Three Executives’ Positions

LyondellBasell has upgraded the positions of three of its senior executives, Timothy D. Roberts, Patrick D. Quarles and Kevin W. Brown.

Roberts, formerly executive vice president of the Netherlands-based petrochemical giant's Olefins & Polyolefins (O&P) Americas division and on the company's management board since April 2014, will now have responsibility for the division's businesses worldwide as executive vice president Global O&P. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Roberts served in executive positions at Chevron Phillips Chemical.

Quarles, senior vice president of the Intermediates and Derivatives (I&D) division since 2009, has been promoted to executive vice president for I&D, Supply Chain and Procurement. In addition to his role as business leader of the global intermediates and derivatives business, Quarles - on the board since April 2014 - will now manage the Company's supply chain and procurement functions.

Brown, senior vice president of the Refining division since 2009, has been promoted to executive vice president for Manufacturing and Refining. Along with leading the refining business, Global Engineering Services and Global Projects, Brown - who before joining LyondellBasell served as an executive officer and a director of privately-held US petroleum company Sinclair Oil - will now be responsible for all of the group's manufacturing sites worldwide. He also has been nominated for appointment to the management board following the annual general meeting.
