TCC New Distributor for Emerald K-Flex

23.02.2016 -

Emerald Kalama Chemical, a business unit of Emerald Performance Materials (EPM,) has selected The Chemical Company (TCC) as US distributor for its K-Flex line of dibenzoate-based plasticizers.

Emerald is based at Kalama, Washington, on the US west coat and TCC at Jamestown, Rhode Island on the east coast.

The EPM offshoot said the distribution partnership will extend its market reach. For TCC, the addition of the K-Flex products will bolster and add value to its already extensive ester product line.

The K-Flex dibenzoate multi-purpose products includes numerous applications in coatings, sealants, caulks, flexible vinyl and adhesives sold as K-Flex 850S, K-Flex 850P, K-Flex 500, K-Flex 500P, K-Flex 975P, K-Flex PG, and K-Flex DP.

Emerald Chemical said the plasticizer line is “an excellent phthalate-free solution for formulators looking to satisfy environmentally friendly, non-SVHC, low VOC plasticizers and coalescents.”

EPM was formed in 2006 from the divestiture of certain Lubrizol businesses. Since its formation, the company has nearly doubled in size and now has eight manufacturing locations and more than 800 employees.
