Oxea names Salim Al Huthaili as new CEO

Oxea has appointed Dr. Salim Al Huthaili as the new chief executive officer.

Dr. Al Huthaili takes over this new role in the management organization of the oxo chemicals manufacturer following the decision of the board of Oxea to implement a new management structure with a CEO. Dr. Martina Flöel, who has so far served as the speaker of the prior executive board of three managing directors, will leave the company. Dr. Al Huthaili first joined Oxea in early 2015 as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and later became a member of the Oxea executive board with increasing responsibilities.

Before joining Oxea, Dr. Al Huthaili, 38, worked at Oman Oil Company, Muscat, prior to that held various roles in Royal Dutch Shell including leading the Shell Chemicals Operations in the Middle East. Al Huthaili holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Nottingham, England.
