PTTGC America Selects Ineos PE Technology

Ineos Technologies has been chosen by PTTGC America, an affiliate of Thai petrochemical and energy group PTT, to license its Innovene S process technology for the production of medium density and high density polyethylene (HDPE). The plant is part of a cracker complex to be built near Dilles Bottom, Ohio, in the US.

The HDPE plant will consist of two lines with a total capacity of 700,000 t/y and will produce a wide range of grades to serve growing demand in both the domestic and export markets.

A start-up date for the complex and PE unit has not been disclosed.
