SABIC Manager awarded as ‘Best Young Executive in Chemical Industry’

Dr. Fabrice C. Bertinchamps, General Manager Business Strategy, Polymers SBU at SABIC has been awarded the Handelsblatt Stratley Award 2012 for ‘Best Young Executive in Chemical Industry'. He received the award during the 13th Handelsblatt conference on chemistry in Frankfurt, Germany on May 10, 2012.

Bertinchamps joined SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation) in 2009. Before, he worked for Total Petrochemicals. The Belgian studied Chemical Engineering at the Université Catholique de Louvain.

Entrants to the Handelsblatt Stratley Award competition should be under 40 years of age and have distinguished themselves through their leadership, creativity and involvement in one or more projects. They should also have proven their business acumen, analytical abilities, organizational talent, assertiveness and team spirit.
As part of the scrutiny process, Bertinchamps had to present himself before the jury along with other finalists for almost an hour-long interview about his career. He was eventually selected as the winner by the jury comprising leading figures in the chemical industry.
