Soudal and DNCP Enter into Strategic Partnership

10.03.2021 - Soudal, the holding company of the Swerts family, has announced that it is taking a strategic stake in De Neef Chemical Processing (DNCP), which is the leading market player in the Benelux region in the field of purification and recycling of organic raw materials.

The partnership has the aim of further professionalizing DNCP and expanding it both on a national and international level.

At the company’s Belgian sites in Kallo and Heist-Op-Den-Berg, DNCP specializes in the purification and recycling of organic solvents and special chemicals from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This has led to a world first in the pharmaceutical sector, i.e. reuse in medicines, in collaboration with Janssen Pharmaceutica.

Herman De Neef, chairman of the De Neef family’s holding, said: “The changing social climate of the population in the face of environmental problems encourages us to continue investing in state-of-the-art production equipment and sophisticated analysis techniques, and to constantly expand our R&D department. Both in Heist and in Kallo we are investing heavily in people and technology.”

Vic Swerts, chairman of Soudal Holding, added: “This investment underlines not only our ambition to continue to grow, but also to do so in a responsible and sustainable way. Through this strategic partnership, we want to strengthen our role in the circular economy, and we will continue to invest in it in the future. In recent years, Soudal has invested in a solar farm in Turnhout and it has just obtained a permit to build a wind turbine.”
