Clariant Displays a Fresh Array of Colors

Pigment preparations are an easy way of giving a coating its desired color. While powder pigments require a long dispersion time and stabilization process, pigment preparations are simply added to a white or colorless basecoat. When taking into consideration that not all users have the necessary equipment and know-how to handle pigments on their own, the use of pigment preparations is advantageous. The decisive factor for the use of pigment preparations is their compatibility with the application medium, while their specification tolerance and stability are crucial for quality. Clariant's pigment preparations are offered for many different applications. Due to their narrow and reliable tolerance in the specifications, they provide the basis for modern and efficient coating production.
Colanyl 500: This broad range of especially friendly aqueous pigment preparations is APEO and VOC-free so they are suitable for tinting dispersion paints labeled with the German "Blue Angel" (Guideline RAL UZ 102) and eco-friendly paints according to EU Directive 2004/42/EC (phase I 2007 and phase II 2010). Also, thanks to their specific formulations, these pigment preparations can be processed with automatic dosing and mixing equipment, taking advantage of the extremely narrow specification tolerances and using a wide range of water-based coating systems.
