Chemspec Europe 2017

Europe’s key trade show for the fine and speciality chemicals industry returns to Munich with a strong line-up

17.03.2017 -

Chemspec Europe, the International Exhibition for Fine and Speciality Chemicals, makes a return to Munich for its 32nd edition. From 31 May – 1 June 2017, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of fine and speciality chemicals will showcase their latest products, services and research findings to a dedicated audience of professionals within the industry sector.

Taking place at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany, Chemspec Europe provides its attendees with access and networking opportunities to blue chip and SME suppliers from around the globe, covering the whole spectrum of custom, fine and speciality chemicals for various industries, including pharma, agriculture, food & drink, cosmetics, household & industrial cleaning, water treatment, adhesives & sealants, reprography & printing, colourants & dyestuffs, polymers and much more.

Last year’s Chemspec Europe 2016 in Basel registered an increase of 10% in exhibitor and 30% in visitor numbers, compared to the year before. Looking at the current booking figures for Munich, Chemspec Europe 2017 is set to continue its success story: three months before the start of the exhibition, a total of 321 exhibitors from 24 countries have already secured their stand space at this year’s event.

Amongst those companies are Albemarle, Arkema France, CABB AG, Charles River, Chevron Phillips Chemicals International, Evonik, Johnson Matthey, Kemira, Lonza, Merck, Solvay, Sumitomo Chemical Europe, Tosoh Europe, Wacker Chemie and many more. Due to the rising demand for stand space, the exhibition space has been extended twice already, underlining the show’s unique position as the premier specialised trading and networking event for the fine and speciality chemicals industry in Europe.

Free conferences
Chemspec Europe works with a number of partner organisations to host various conferences on a wide range of subjects – from regulatory and pharma outsourcing to current market trends and developments. Munich – a key location for Europe’s chemical industries
Chemspec Europe is held annually at different locations in Europe. For 2017, the show makes a return to Munich in Germany, where the events in 2008 and 2013 were hosted. The show takes place in halls A5 and A6 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre and is accessible via the East Entrance.

The city of Munich is located in Bavaria, one of Europe’s most advanced and strongest economic regions, boasting a wide range of industries and sectors. Bavaria is also a key location for the German chemicals industry, with a total workforce of more than 61,000 and annual sales of more than € 16 billion. Highly successful research partnerships between companies and research institutes provide a powerful growth engine for a dynamic business environment.

The Chemspec Europe Visitor Guide will be published at the end of March and contains a compact exhibition and visitor profile, the latest exhibitor list, an overview of the conference programme and key visitor information, including opening hours, travel and accommodation. The Visitor Guide can be ordered online via the visitor enquiry form.
