CEFIC Anounces EU Responsible Care Award Winners

26 Initiatives Lead the 'Transition to 2050.'

20.11.2023 - The European Chemical Industry Council, CEFIC, announced 26 companies and national associations as the key initiatives featured in the 2023 European Responsible Care Awards Gallery.

After unveiling the Transition Pathway this year, the Awards focus on the "Transition to 2050." Recognizing the industry's historic transformation, they commend efforts toward climate neutrality, circular practices, and the adoption of safe and sustainable chemicals and operations.

“The need to transition is at its most urgent, and the obstacles have never been greater. The initiatives exhibited in this year’s Responsible Care Awards show industry’s united front and the absolute will to transform. Congratulations to all; companies and associations, large and small organisations, from all over Europe. We need leaders like these, paving the way and inspiring others on the journey.” said Marco Mensink, Director General, CEFIC

The eight award-winning projects and commendations from the Responsible Care Awards highlight the diverse industry contributions to the transition. These initiatives include developing national transition plans, upcycling waste for a circular economy, and implementing innovative methods for safe and sustainable chemicals.
