Calgren Renewable Fuels Opens Bioethanal Plant

Calgren Renewable Fuels has taken charge of a new ethanol facility built by Air Liquide's German-based engineering subsidiary Lurgi.

The Calgren plant is currently the only ethanol plant operating in the state.

Calgren and Lurgi cooperated on the design of the plant said to optimize energy efficiency while producing value added co-products.

The facility has annual production capacity for 55 million gallons of fuel alcohol and 400,000 t of animal feed.
