CAC - Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz - to expand chlor alkali plant at Donau Chemie

29.04.2014 - Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz (CAC) has been awarded a contract by Donau Chemie, Vienna Austria, to expand the existing membrane electrolysis plant at the production site in Brueckl, Austria, by an annual capacity of approx. 30,000 tons of chlorine and the corresponding amount of caustic soda.

"We appreciate to be selected as the contractor by the Donau Chemie Group since we were originally involved in the conversion from the mercury based electrolysis to the membrane process based technology.", says Joerg Engelmann, Chief Executive Officer of CAC.
The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction supervision. Commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2015.
