Mitsui Chem to Restart Naphtha Cracker Late March

11.03.2010 -

Japan's Mitsui Chemicals said on Thursday it expects to restart its 553,000 tons per year naphtha cracker in Chiba, near Tokyo, around late March after repair work. The company said it expects to suffer a loss of about 3
billion yen ($33 million) from the shutdown. The cracker, which was originally shut on Feb. 28 due to a problem, failed to restart earlier this month.
