Packaging Coordinators, (PCI), a global supplier of pharmaceutical commercial packaging solutions and clinical trials services have announced that Peter Belden has assumed the role of General Manager for its Rockford, IL based facilities. PCI operates nine facilities in Rockford, totaling over 1,000,000 square feet and employing over 1,300 associates. The site supports pharmaceutical and biotech packaging services for clinical and commercial medicines, as well as medical device, and consumer healthcare products. PCI is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA and features over 14 facilities in North America and Europe serving the global pharmaceutical packaging market. The company added the Rockford facilities as part of its acquisition of Anderson Brecon from AmerisourceBergen in May of this year.

Having previously held Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing position at the Rockford site as well as having headed the PCI operations in Hay-on-Wye, Wales in the United Kingdom, Belden enters his new role as General Manager in Rockford, bringing over 25 years of experience in the packaging industry.

"We are very excited to have Pete in this role" states Bill Bolding, Chief Operating Officer at PCI. "Pete brings a wealth of experience and truly understands the needs of our customers. His personal commitment to customer satisfaction underscores the company's focus on true strategic partnership and bringing value to our clients as an extension of their business. Pete's demonstrated leadership has him well positioned to lead the Rockford team."

PCI recently announced substantial investment in the Rockford sites, including the addition of multiple new high speed blistering and bottling lines to support business growth. Other notable capital investments include the expansion of Cold Chain storage, bringing the company's Rockford capacity to over 1,000 pallet spaces of 2 - 8°C in support of its expanding business for Biotech products and parenteral delivery forms. The European site in Hay features four facilities supporting clinical and commercial packaging for pharmaceutical and biotech products, as well as global distribution of clinical trial materials.
