Syensqo Inaugurates Application Development Labs in Italy

28.03.2024 - Syensqo has opened its application development labs (ADL) in Bollate, Italy. The project includes an expansion of 1,300 m2 in a new building and represents a €10 million investment over the past three years and underlines the Bollate research center’s pivotal role in developing new applications for high-tech industries, the company said.

Less than a year after ago, Syensqo already inaugurated a "dry room" laboratory for lithium batteries at the site.

With this investment, Syensqo will expand its range of specialty polymers, which are needed for green mobility, energy efficiency and sustainable procurement, among other things. The new laboratories will also increase the number of scientific staff at the research center by 30%.

Ilham Kadri, CEO of Syensqo said: “Research and innovation lies in Syensqo’s DNA with over 2.000 scientists working together worldwide. We are thrilled to inaugurate this new project, which is a concrete demonstration of our ambition to be the prime innovation partners of our customers. We want them to benefit from our innovation power and work hand in hand with them on the new technologies that will enable a more sustainable world.”

Francesco Triulzi, head of the company’s application development labs globally said: “Our ADL is a network of professionals and state of the art R&I facilities leveraging local excellence to deliver sustainable global solutions."
