11.02.2014 -

The European Association of Chemical Distributors (FECC), the voice of the European chemical distribution industry, has published its Business Plan for 2014. The document includes the Working Committees' achievements for 2013 and work plan for the coming year. The business plan describes Fecc's priorities and how the association will contribute to grow a stronger chemical distribution industry.

The Fecc Business Plan 2014 was presented at the General Assembly during the Annual Membership Meeting in Brussels on 13 November. Chemical distributors play a significant role in shaping the future of the chemical sector. To become the driving force in the chemical industry, distributors must take advantage of the innate diversity of the business, by offering tailored services for manufacturers and downstream users alike. "Ensuring stable growth amidst a rapidly changing market conditions requires distributors to build a business structure able perform in a dynamic environment", commented, FECC's Director General Dr. Uta Jensen-Korte.

The work carried out by Fecc's committees goes beyond monitoring, reporting and advising on regulatory affairs. FECC offers its members tools like publications, position papers and guidance documents to overcome various regulatory challenges. The association first priority is to support the European chemical distribution industry and continuously increase the benefits for their members.

"I feel very privileged to serve as President for this strong association. Working together is essential to succeed, encouraging the industry to speak with one voice has been Fecc's priority for the past six decades. We are delighted to celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2014. We invite the complete supply chain to join us for this celebration and mark one more successful year for the chemical industry", concluded Edgar E. Nordmann, FECC's President.
