The world's largest conference for renewable materials — the Renewable Materials Conference organized by Nova-Institute — will take place in Siegburg near Bonn, Germany, from 11 to 13 June 2024.

In the ongoing battle against climate change it is imperative to limit the consumption of fossil ressources. While the energy sector can adopt decarbonization measures, such a strategy is not viable for organic chemistry, given its reliance on carbon. Therfore, the chemical and material industries must explore alternative carbon sources for the transition towards more sustainable and climate-friendly production ans consumption. These alternative carbon sources are referred to as "renewable carbon".

This is where the Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) comes in to make innovations, technologies, materials, chemicals and products visible in order to support the defossilization of the chemical industry. The RMC is the world's largest event dedicated to chemicals and materials based on biomass, CO₂-capture and utilization and recycling, which are the only viable alternatives to fossil carbon. This event offers a unique overview of all renewable material solutions and addresses all stakeholders from the chemical industry and the material sector, product manufacturers, brand owners and investors.
